[Poema 29] Ellas son nosotras | We are the ancestors
Our ancestors gave life
to our great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandmothers and grandfathers
so that we would remember
our future as great-great-great-great-great-great-great granddaughters and sons
great-great-great-great-great-great-great descendants
We fly from
one side of the continent
to the other.
We fly from América to Africa
in less than one day.
This is nothing.
Our great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandmothers and grandfathers
walked for 150,000 years
holding us
feeding us
loving us
protecting us
from the great dangers
of forgetfulness
of oblivion
of extermination
of love without the beloved.
Will we walk another 150,000 years
so that our great-great-great-great-great-great-great descendants
will continue on the longest walk
of all their great-great-great-great-great-great-great ancestors?
